Teaspoon Gala 2009

The 27th Annual Teaspoon gala took place on Sunday 20th September 2009 at Ponds Forge. The red T shirts of the City of Sheffield Swim Squad were out in force with representatives from JO2, JO1, Age Group Nationals, Junior Development and Senior Elite. For the younger swimmers at their first Teaspoon Gala to have been on poolside with some of our elite swimmers was a fantastic experience, they really enjoyed themselves and put in some fantastic performances. Particularly Cian Senior (11), Emily Longstone (11), Orla Dyer (10), Edvinas Zailskas (10), Phoeby Finch (10), Lucia Wood-Bonelli (11)& Laurence Pickford (10) who all won teaspoons competing at their first Teaspoon Gala. It was also nice to see James Kirton back in the pool competing again after injury. For the rest of the Squad there were some great swims and plenty of teaspoons won and PBs gained, including the relays where we won six out of eight events! Brilliant!! As well as the many Gold, Silver & Bronze winners there were many more finalists and CoSSS were represented in nearly all the finals. Well done swimmers!!
