City of Sheffield Swim Squad Results from BAGCAT NER Championships
Wow! The 2009 Age Group North East Regional Championships saw CoSSS achieve fantastic results. In the first weekend alone the City of Sheffield swimmers had won 14 Gold medals and gained four more National Qualifying times. Then after all the disruption to training, due to floods at Ponds Forge, and the Championships being moved to Leeds the swimmers had another excellent second weekend of results. Another 13 Gold medals were won and five more National Qualifying times achieved. The final medal tally was 27 Gold, 13 Silver and 13 Bronze. As well as the individual National Qualifiers ALL six relay teams have qualified for the National Championships in July. Team spirit was excellent over both weekends! Brilliant! Congratulations swimmers!
