COSSS Swimmers Shine at European Juniors

City of Sheffield swimmers Max Partridge, Charlotte Broadbent and Rebecca Turner competed for GB last week in Belgium at the European Junior Championships.

Max came back from his disapointment of being disqualified in the 200m Breaststroke, with a great swim of 1.04.16 in the final of the 100m Breaststroke.  He then went on to win a silver medal in the 4x100m medley team with a big pb of 1.03.42.

Charlotte had a great heat swim in the 200m Backstroke of 2.19.04, norrowly missing out on a place in the semi-finals becasue of the 2 per nation rule.  Her time would have placed her 7th in the final.  This was an oustanding effort by Charlotte after only just recovering from glandular fever.

Rebecca had an outstanding week, placing 13th in the 100m Free in a pb of 57.81, but then leading off the silver medal winning 4x100m Free team in another pb of 57.46.  Her best swim however, came in the 4x200m Free team.  She swam 2.02.20, helping the team to go forwards and win the gold.  This was a 3 second pb for Becky.

Congratulations to all three swimmers from all at COSSS!!
