City of Sheffield Swim Squad Ellie and Braxston at the Europeans
Ellie Faulkner (16) and Braxston Timm (17) return from the European Junior Swimming Championships in Prague with plenty to smile about. The Senior Elite swimmers had a fantastic week with amazing results.
Ellie finished 9th in the 1500m Freestyle in a PB time of 17.01. In the 200m Freestyle she reached the final and finished 5th in a fantastic PB time of 2.01.56 and finishing as the fastest Brit. Then just to finish things off she won Gold and broke the European Junior Record as part of the 4x200m Freestyle team!!!
Braxston competed in the 200m Fly, finishing 19th in a PB time of 2.03.35. He reached the final of the 100Fly and finished 6th, as fastest Brit and 2nd fastest 17 year old, in 54.32 this being just .08 off the British Record!! Braxston also took part in the 4X100m Medley team which finished 10th.
Brilliant!! Big congratulations to both!
