Luton Photo Exhibition for Simon

Simon Wright, a keen CoSSS masters swimmer and photographer, is holding an exhibition of some of the aquatic photographs he has taken in the last year which will include some photos of our very own swimmers.   Simon originally started taking photos of the City of Sheffield water polo and swim clubs as an initiative to promote and support local aquatic athletes.  The project has been so successful that it has now been extended across Britain and Simon has photographed some of the leading British aquatic stars, including the British Water Polo Teams and the GB Synchronised Swimming Team.

Simon launched GBswimstars, a voluntary initiative, using his photography to showcase the leading aquatic athletes of today and future stars of tomorrow.  The inspiration for the photographs was the appreciation of the enormous amount of training, commitment and dedication required and ‘the idea behind GBswimstars is to use powerful, memorable photographs to help promote, support and motivate those involved in the sport’

The exhibition is to be held at ‘The Hat Factory’ in Luton from 4th – 25th February.  Details can be found on www.thehatfactory.org

Above are two of the CoSSS photographs which will be on show at the exhibition.  All of Simons photographs  can be viewed on his website www.gbswimstars.com
