Sixteen year old Senior Elite swimmer Ellie Faulkner has won the Young Swimmer of the Year Splash Award.  Ellie attended the award ceremony to collect her award at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, London on November 21st.  The Splash awards are now in their fifth year and celebrate the achievements and efforts of British aquatic athletes from the past, present and future.  Ellie was also nominated for the Open Water swimmer of the Year.  Clare Balding presented Ellie with her well earned award.

Ellie was back in London, at the Oval, on 26th November to collect another award.  Ellie won the North East OCS Young Sports Person Award 2009.  This is the twelfth year of Awards, this year joining forces with Sportsaid, supporting tomorrows future sports stars.  Clare Balding was on hand again to present Ellie with her award!  Well done Ellie.
