2006 National Championships

COSSS swimmers delivered a fantastic performance at the National Age Group, National Youth, and ASA Long Course Championships held at Ponds Forge between July 27th and August 6th. The club finished 3rd in the Senior Clubs points table behind Swansea and Loughborough University who are both Performance centres. In the Youth club points table COSSS were also 3rd, behind Hatfield and Nova Centurion.

Individual gold medals went to Rebecca Turner (100m, 200m and 400m Freestyle), Debbie Hall (100m and 200m Breaststroke), Andy Shepherd (50m and 100m Backstroke), James Crisp (100m Fly, 100m Backstroke) and Max Partridge (100m Breaststroke). Silver Medals were won by Debbie Hall (50m and 100m Breaststroke, 200m I.M.), Max Partridge (200m Breaststroke), James Crisp (50m Backstroke), Jenny Starling (400m Freestyle) and Chris Middleton (200m I.M.). Bronze medals went to Charlotte Broadbent (200m Bacjstroke, Youth and Senior), Andy Shepherd (200m Backstroke) and Jenny Starling (200m Freestyle). The Age Group 4 x 100m Freestyle Girls Relay (Rebecca Turner, Ellie Faulkner, Lindsey Whitmore and Lucy Spencer) won Silver and the Youth Girls 4 x 100m Medley Relay Team (Charlotte Broadbent, Debbie Hall, Alice Cordwell and Jenny Starling) won Bronze.
