This site is now the home of our Gala Results and article archives.

We launched a new website in early 2022.  Take a look here.

After some great swimming in the heats, 6 swimmers qualified for the finals. First up we had Charlie Brown in the 50 Backstroke Transition Final. Charlie has had an awesome season so far and manged to improve on his PB from the heat again finishing in 26.08. Next we had our other backstroke sprinter, Elliot Clogg, in the Open Final also getting a personal best in 25.93. We are looking forward to seeing them back in action in the 100 and 200 Backstroke. Next up was a very close head to head between Jay Lelliot and Sam Budd in the 400m Freestyle. Both swimmers gave it their all and it was extremely close right to the end, Sam manged to grab a terrific Bronze medal in 4:52.26 with Jay coming in 4th in 4:52.35. Straight after the 400 Freestyle it was the time for Amy bell and Amber Keegan in the 400 IM open Final. Amber came a great 6th place in 4:48.41 and Amy came a superb 4th place in a new personal best of 4:45.11.
With such a great start to the Championships, Team Steel and myself are excited to keep watching our swimmers over the next 4 days in Glasgow.
