Other highlights were Ellie Faulkner putting in a gutsy performance in the 100Fc grabbing a new pb of 56.20. Rebecca Turner followed suit, with strong performances in the 100Fc 56.10, the 50m Freestyle, 26.00 and a huge lifetime best of 4.10.81 in the 400Fc finishing 4th.

On the men’s side, David Gregory was fifth in the 100m Backstroke final, touching in a new best time of 54.55 and 1.58.35 in the 200Bk, also coming 5th. Gregory also swam in the 100m Individual Medley in the morning heat session and finished 9th overall, finishing his weekend off with 2.05.78 in the 200IM.

Other finalists included 400m Individual Medley swimmer Matthew Johnson, who finished in sixth place in 4.18.34. Johnson was also placed 13th in the 200m Butterfly 2:01.49, 2.04.99 in the 200IM and a fantastic pb of 15.13 21 in the 1500Fc coming in 4th place.

Lewis Coleman, had a fantastic swim in the 400IM heats (4.23.35) put him in seventh place overall. He also finished seventh in the 100IM and after setting new personal best of 55.80 in the heats, he finished the final just outside that in 56.08. Lewis also had a great 200Fc in a new pb of 1.48.92, finishing 7th and also swam well in the 200IM registering 2.02.08 (8th).

Tom Sunter was in action in the 400Fc final, which also included World Record holder Paul Biedermann, and finished seventh in a time of 3.53.54. He was also involved in the race of the day with Matthew Johnson on the 1500Fc. Tom produce a personal best of 15.13.39 finishing 5th just behind Johnson. Team mate Braxton Timm competed 100m Freestyle (50.43) and did a great pb in the 200m Butterfly (2:00.59) finishing 14th and 11th respectively, and also swam a pb of 53.73 in the 100 Butterfly, finishing 8th.

Special congratulations must go to Lucy Spencer for performing so well on her first GB International, and also to James Kirton on his first GB comeback swim since the Olympics in 2008. Lucy Spencer was 11th overall in the 200m Freestyle, clocking a time of 2:00.91, 11th in the 200m Individual Medley touching in 2:14.77, 1.03.76 in the 100IM as well as her Yorkshire record in the 400IM. James also put in a fantastic 100m Breaststroke coming 9th in 1.00.98, showing that he is well back on track in his journey back to the podium.
