This site is now the home of our Gala Results and article archives.

We launched a new website in early 2022.  Take a look here.

Having finished 2016 with a fourth place at the Olympics in Rio, a silver medal at the World Short Course Championships in Canada and a number of British records, it was going to a challenge to step up his performance again.  Yet, at the 2017 British Swimming Championships Max had the Sheffield crowd on their feet as he showed his true potential winning gold in both the 200m and 400m Individual Medley with dominant performances that secured his place at his first World Championships in Budapest.  Max’s consistency of performance in heats and finals was fantastic.  The finals delivered another two incredibly closes finishes as he finished fourth in both the Men's 200m and 400m Individual Medley events where he set new Commonwealth and British records respectively.

Max continues to be an inspiration to all of us and is also a fantastic role model for all our swimmers.  The whole club is incredibly proud of his achievements.
