Day 1 saw 17 year old Rebecca Turner securing her place in the English 4x200m Freestyle relay team bound for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi taking place in October! After making and finishing 7th in the 200m Freestyle final, in 2.00.58, she will be joining Rebecca Adlington, Joanne Jackson and Sasha Matthews to make up the team. Brilliant! Well done Becky! Matthew Johnson made it through to the final of the 200m Fly final and finished in 10th in a PB time of 2.03.00. James Crisp competed in the MD 400m Freestyle and made it through to the finals finishing 3rd in 4.22.72, just outside his Word Record time set last year! Others swimming on Day 1 were Eleanor Faulkner in the 200m Freestyle, Dan Cocking and Tom Sunter in the 400m Freestyle and Braxston Timm in the 200m Fly.

Day 2 started with Max Partridge and James Kirton making it through to the semis and then finals of the 100m Breast. Rebecca Turner continued her success by also making the semis and qualifying for the final of the 100m Freestyle. In the 200m FreestyleBraxston Timm made it through to the finals and finished 10th in a very competitive race. Also swimming today were Tom Sunter and Matthew Johnson who both swam in the 200m Freestyle.
Day 3 and the first event was the Womens 800m Freestyle in which Ellie Faulkner finished 6th making it through to the final and Aynsley Heseltine also competed. Braxston Timm swam in the 100m Freestyle making the semi final. In the finals this eveningRebecca Turner finished 7th in the 100m Freestyle in 56.62 and Max Partridge finished 6th in the 100m Breast in 1.02.64.

Day 4 was yet another good day. Max Partridge qualified for the semis and then the finals in the 50m Breast, as did Rebecca Turner in the 50m Freestyle and Braxston Timm in the 100m Fly. Matthew Johnson made it through to the finals of the 400m IM in 4.24.98 (PB) and then finished 6th in the final in 4.23.51 (PB). In the Womens 800m Freestyle this evening Ellie Faulkner finished 8th in 8.48.00.
Day 5 a busy day for Sheffield swimmers! James Crisp started the day by qualifying for the finals of the MD 100m Back finishing in 2nd place. He then went on win Silver in the final in a World Record time of 1.03.32 in his category – congratulations James! Next up was the Mens 1500m Freestyle in which Alex Watson swam in his first British Championships, Ricky Speed finished in 11th place just missing out on a place in the final and with Matthew Johnson and Tom Sunter both securing places in the final. In the Womens 400m Freestyle both CoSSS swimmers competing, Ellie Faulkner and Aynsley Heseltine, made it through to the final where Ellie finished 5th and Aynsley finished in 10th. The finals saw Max Partridge finish 7th in the 50mBreast, Rebecca Turnerfinish 9th in the 50m Freestyle and Braxston Timm finish in 4th place in the 100m Fly.
