The Yorkshire Winter Competition took place on the weekend of the 10th and 11th October at Ponds Forge. Despite being so early in the season, there were many fantastic swims. By the Sunday evening COSSS swimmers had won 52 medals (16 gold, 19 silver and 17 bronze) and many other top ten Yorkshire hat winners. A large number of the swimmers had to race tough on the Sunday having represented COSSS at the first round of the Arena League late into the Saturday evening. There were many standout performances, including a number of events where COSSS occupied more than one of the first three places and took a clean sweep of the medals in the girls 13 and under 100 free. Well done to all those who competed!
Congratulations too to Elliot Clogg (15) for setting a new junior Yorkshire record for short course 100 free in 52.06.
