Results and Archive

This site is now the home of our Gala Results and article archives.

We launched a new website in early 2022.  Take a look here.

To be invited to compete, swimmers had to be ranked in the top 24 in their age group for the event, or the top 20 for relay teams, (age on 31st December). All the season's hard work paid off as the vast majority of swimmers set new PBs as they stormed through the heats and finals. Although there were many standout performances, Cameron Brooks-Clarke (16) and Max Litchfield (20) deserve special mention for their brace of gold medals, and also Amy Bell (15) for her haul of eight medals over the six days of competition. COSSS finished 6th in the medal table, but was only behind Stockport Metro and Plymouth Leander in total number of medals won, demonstrating a great all-round performance.

Mike Taylor, Age Group Coach, said, "Well done to everyone involved at the British Summer Championships, you had an amazing week as a team and totally smashed it up. Each and every one of you played your part, and made this Teamsteel what it is today. As a club we are very proud of you."
Russ Barber, Head Coach added, "Congratulations to all swimmers and staff for doing such a great job. It's been fantastic watching the results roll in from afar in Kazan. You really have got what you deserved and both the Club and myself, are very proud of you...well done!!"
