The National Championships continued in Sunderland on 18-21 August for our senior swimmers.

Another four days of good swims and some great results, finals and pbs. Well done!

Day 1 CoSSS secured five final places. Becky Turner (18) in the 200m Freestyle won a Bronze. Tom Sunter (18) finished 5th and Dan Cocking (19) finished 8th in the 400m Freestyle. Lucy Spencer (17) finished 7th in the 200m IM and Matthew Johnson (15) finished 8th in the 200m Fly. Also swimming today were Aynsley Heseltine (18), Helen McRoberts (19) and Laura Whitaker (18) in the 200m Freestyle, Laura Huggon (19) in the 100m Back and Ricky Speed (18) in the 400m Freestyle.

Day 2 saw Becky Turner (18)reach the final and finish with a Silver medal in the 100m Freestyle and Braxston Timm just missed out on a medal finishing 4th in the 100m Fly. Others swimming today were Laura Whitaker (18) in the 100m Freestyle, Tom Sunter (18) and Dan Cocking (19) in the 200m Freestyle and Laura Huggon (19) in the 100m Back.

Day 3 and another final for Becky Turner (18) who finished 6th in the 50m Freestyle. Laura Whitaker (18) also swam in the 50m Freestyle and Helen McRoberts (19) and Aynsley Heseltine (18) swam in the 800m Freestyle.

Day 4 and another Bronze medal for CoSSS, Tom Sunter swam a fantastic 15.30.10 in the 1500m Freestyle to secure his 3rd place! Braxston Timm (18) came 6th in the 100m Freestyle and Lucy Spencer (17) finished 9th in the 400m IM. Aynsley Heseltine (18) & Helen McRoberts swam in the 400m Freestyle with Helen also swimming the 400mIM. Ricky Speed (18) and Matthew Johnson swam in the 1500m Freestyle.
