Nonetheless, the teams performed brilliantly, with a number of swimmers clocking faster times than they did earlier in the day. Our swimmers have few opportunities to swim as a team and this made many step up their game, with the A team finishing in first place and the B team fighting for places in every race and finishing a commendable 6th. Our swimmers also carried their determined performances through to the Winter Competition too, despite a late finish at Ponds Forge. Well done to all the other teams who made it a great evening of racing.
Many thanks to all those who helped the club host this first of three rounds including those on the door, behind the scenes in the Omega Suite and on poolside. A job well done!
The next round will be on Saturday 8th November at the John Charles Centre in Leeds. Transport/times to be confirmed.
