The gala this year was moved back to the John Charles Centre, with the winner of the meet going on to the northeast region final and potentially the national final later in the year. There was great competition with City of Leeds, Borough of Kirklees and COSSS A team, battling it out the top 3 places from the start and COSSS B put in great performances against tough opposition.
COSSS A finished a commendable third behind the defending national champions, City of Leeds. As the swimmers are only just getting back into the swing of training, there were some very promising performances. Well done to all who competed and particular thanks should go to those who travelled to the meet for just one or two relay swims! Thanks also to all those working poolside.
Congratulations to City of Leeds, who now go on to the northeast final.
