This includes over 230 National medals, placing 25 swimmers on GB teams, winning 15 medals at the European Junior Championships, and placing three Olympians and one Paralympian onto Team GB in his 12 years at COSSS.
Russ says "I'm really proud to get this award, as it is a real honour not only for myself, but for the great team we have at Sheffield. I'd like to thank all everybody involved in the programme, especially the coaches past and present that have worked so hard over the years...here's to the next 12 years!"
Russ was presented the award by ex City of Leeds Head Coach - Terry Denison MBE who Russ worked with 1997-2001 when he was Age Group Coach at Leeds.
