Laura Campbell excels in open water swims

Less than a week later she was donning the wetsuit again, but this time to take up the challenge of Matlock and District Swimming Club's inaugural open water river races, finishing 1st in the 250m, 5th in the 500m and 2nd in the 1500m. Recent heavy rains meant these were cold and challenging swims; it was hard going against the current, but very fast downstream.
